This is the way an Intern Receives their room in Our Home.
Be Respectful of your Host, no matter where you are !
A FEW BAD INTERNS CAN SPOIL IT FOR OTHER
INTERNS AND HOST.
DON'T DISRESPECT YOUR HOST !
If your host has house rules and request that you maintain your space or joint spaces in their home as they presented it to you, respect that. If you can't, or won't, then don't waste host time by taking up space. We have enough to do, without having to police you, or teach you manners, and respect for other people and their belongings.
Most of us don't have much, but what we do have, we have worked hard for over the years, and can't replace most of what we have.
Don't be like this intern, who was requested everyday to keep his room clean. He also broke an antique toy from my mom, that was in the top of the closet in his room, and broke a pair of earphones i had bought my husband as a christmas gift, but i let him use. (and hid them before he left, and didn't mention that he had broken them.) These are just a few of the things he did while he was here that was disrespectful.
Will he be invited back again, NO. Will I warn other host of his disrespect, YES !

* You are up at 7 am, Eat Breakfast, Clean your room, which includes Making your bed, all your personal items and clothes must be kept up off the floor and put away, neatly.
* Your work begins at exactly 8 am. (depending on the weather if it is outdoors or indoors) If the temperature is going to be over 90 degrees for the day, we will only work till 10:30, that is usually when the temp starts getting hot. Then we will work again in the evening, when it starts cooling off again.

* Only food raised on the farm is provided. If you have other needs for food, junk food, drinks or toiletries, you will have to purchase those yourself on our trips to town. ( we go sometimes 3 times a week, at least once a week.) WE WILL NOT MAKE A SPECIAL TRIP TO TOWN JUST FOR YOU TO PURCHASE WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE PLANNED FOR WHEN WE MAKE OUR REGULAR TRIPS TO TOWN.
* Sunday is our day off. We will be glad to take you sightseeing on this day if you like. (if you do not want to go with us, please let us know ahead of time, as we leave the farm early (8 am) so we can get back and take care of the animals in the early evening.)
* First Week is a trial period, either of us can terminate the intern contract.
* If you do not follow our House Rules at any time, you will be asked to leave IMMEDIATELY.
RULES ARE THERE FOR A REASON ON ALL FARMS, BUSINESSES, HOSTELS. IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO ABIDE BY A HOST RULES, THEN DON'T APPLY TO STAY WITH THEM. MOST OF US WILL TELL YOU AHEAD OF TIME WHAT THEY ARE, AND WE DO EXPECT YOU TO FOLLOW THEM.
RULES ARE THERE ALSO BECAUSE OTHER INTERNS MADE THESE RULES NECESSARY. WE HAVE HAD SOME AWESOME INTERNS, BUT WE HAVE ALSO HAD SOME THAT MAKE IT NECESSARY FOR RULES.
